The Women’s Resource Center (WRC) has an opening for a part-time to full-time Prevention Educator. This position will educate Lackawanna County adolescents (with a focus of middle and high school ages) on healthy relationships, safety and risk reduction for dating violence, sexual violence, domestic violence, trafficking and stalking in collaboration with other community agencies. The primary roles will be to facilitate multiple age appropriate, evidence-based curricula in area schools, and to support adolescent victims/survivors of sexual and domestic violence, dating violence, trafficking and stalking who participate in the programs. Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Education, or related Human Services field and have experience and skill in working with pre-teens/teens and/or victims of domestic violence and/or sexual assault. Additionally, candidates must demonstrate skill in public speaking, written and verbal communication, and facilitation and/or conflict resolution.
